Simple White Ranunculus and Eucalyptus Bouquet

I am not a red roses kind of gal. I never have been. I appreciate their significance in the history of romance, but they just aren't for me. The first flower Matt ever gave me, hand delivered when picked me up for our first date, was a white gerber daisy. I still have the dried daisy in a box along with my wedding bouquet. So every Valentine's Day (with the exception of this one), Matt stops by Blooms or Browne's, the local floral shops owned the Browne Family who Matt grew up living on the same street with. He jokes how it's easy to pick up flowers during the Valentine's rush, because while most men are grabbing roses, he is picking ranunculus or hydrangea. You're welcome, honey.

During our monthly trip to Costco, I always grab a bouquet of their greens if they have them. While picking them out I saw a bouquet of beautiful white ranunculus and couldn't help myself.

That's right, my favorite thing about Costco trips are the flowers.

After we loaded up the car and unloaded everything back at the house I was itching to assemble the new florals. And assemble I did, I even documented it for you, because, well I love 'em.

I find it easier to put a bouquet together by sorting all the elements I am using and gently combining them one at a time. Giving each stem it's place. After sorting, I trim the stems and use some twine to keep the bouquet intact. Fill a vase with water and flower food and carefully fill with your flowers. You can leave the twine is place or simply untie to give it a looser look. Make sure to trim and change the water every few days to make it last.

This bouquet consists of seeded eucalyptus, silver dollar eucalyptus, baby blue eucalyptus, steel grass, magnolia foliage, and white ranunculus. The best part is if you care for it, it will last. I assembled this last Sunday and we are still going strong. Just be sure to trim and change the water,
